Turning 36 has me in full reflection mode.
This past year — my 35th year — was one of the most transformative of my life. It challenged me, expanded me, and taught me lessons I’ll carry into every future year of business, love, and leadership.
So today, I want to share some of the biggest takeaways from 35 that shaped me into the woman and entrepreneur I am stepping into at 36.
1. Leaning Into Feminine Energy
For so long, I operated in my masculine — the structure, the hustle, the to-do lists. But this year, I embraced my feminine energy like never before. Flow. Trust. Receiving. Creativity. This is where I thrive, and where my business actually grows with more ease and abundance.
2. Slowing Down to Be Present
As I stepped into my new role as a bonus mom, I learned the importance of slowing down. Life isn’t just about scaling and hustling. It’s about being fully present with the people who matter most.
3. No Longer Settling
This was the year I stopped saying yes to things that didn’t serve me. I realized that shrinking to make others comfortable is not my job. Living in alignment with my truth is.
4. Internal Focus Over External Growth
In business, I shifted from chasing “more” — more leads, more clients, more sales — to focusing on those already in my world. My clients. My community. My team. And I’ve found that when you deepen those relationships, the external growth follows naturally.
5. Running My First 12-Month Mastermind
This was my first year leading a year-long mastermind, and it was powerful. Not only does it create sustainable recurring revenue, but it also forces you to grow as a leader — to hold space long-term, through highs and lows. I’ll be launching this again in September, and I can’t wait to build on everything I learned.
6. Boundaries, Lawyers & Letting Go
Some very real lessons? Get a good lawyer. Protect yourself in business and in life. Set boundaries and honor them. And don’t be afraid to let people go if they no longer align with who you’re becoming.
7. Build Recurring Revenue
Starting every month at zero is a recipe for scarcity. Instead, focus on memberships, payment plans, subscriptions, and passive funnels. This has been one of the biggest game-changers for me this year.
8. True Love Exists
If you had told me 15 years ago that I’d be back together with my first love, after marriages, divorces, kids, and over a decade apart, I wouldn’t have believed you. But here we are. True love is real — if you open your mind and heart to it.
9. Success Without Burnout
Money, sales, and success do not have to mean burnout. By running my business from a feminine, flowy place, I’ve found more joy and more ease — without sacrificing results.
